I began taking piano lessons with Alice at age 67 a few months ago. It has always been my dream to play the piano well. On my first lesson, she asked me to define what my goals are in taking piano lessons. She tailors her teaching style to my goals and needs. She does not only work with me on techniques, but also on theory, musicality, and effective practicing. I really appreciate Alice's positive and encouraging teaching style. What I like about Alice is she doesn't make you feel bad about your mistakes and she's really there to help and support you. She helps me figure out what the pieces could mean to me in a way that focuses on the music. I've seen myself progress steadily in just a few months with her. I've noticed that I am now starting to play not only the notes on a piece but also the feelings that I experience when I play the piece (that is a big difference) encouraging me to be more motivated to practice and learn. Alice is an amazing and very effective teacher.

Happy having lessons with Alice though it was my 1st experience to have a virtual piano lessons. My first time to have lessons after 50 + years & yet Virtual. Learned the technique to play the music better. Learning the theory & the dynamic, too.

Alice Hyoung, a very good friend who I known for more than 10 years and I have seen her perform piano ever since high school. Not only she’s a talented artist, but also a trustworthy and hardworking person. She has experience of performing in big concert halls and can teach any age of young children to young adults. I highly recommend taking lessons with Alice Hyoung. She is one of the most striving pianists in our time.
