Virtual Lessons FAQs

♡ What materials do I need?

- A device with a built in camera such as an iPad, tablet, phone, or laptop (I highly discourage the use of tablets and phones due to poor quality)
- A place to set up your device, preferably a spot where I can see your full body along with the keyboard
- Strong WiFi connection
- Skype, FaceTime, Facebook Messenger, or Zoom (I find that Skype has the best audio quality)
- Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal for payment
- A notebook and pencil

♡ Optional materials to enhance the quality of lessons:

- Earbuds or noise cancelling headphones
- External speaker
- forScore app for iPads
- External microphone (for example, by Apogee, Shure, Blue, or Samson)

♡ How do I test my internet connection speed?

speedtest.net is a free online test. A minimum speed of 10 Mbps (download and upload) is highly recommended. This will improve the audio and video quality of our lessons.

♡ Do you charge less for online lessons?

My rates remains the same for online lessons as do the services I offer and my level of expertise/experience. While I am sympathetic to economic and personal circumstances, I must also consider the extra amount of time, money, and energy I spend to preserve the quality of lessons.
